The Miss Teen Great Britain team understand that most people who enter the competition, have no previous pageant experience. Importantly, we know that this means that there may be parents and family members who would like further information.

Below, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help answer any queries you may have.

I have received information about the Miss Teen GB pageant for my daughter, how have you received her details?

The only way to enter the competition is by entering using the form on our website (link to enter now form). We review all applications that we receive and then write & email those who are successful. We always ensure to address the parent/guardian in our correspondence, so that you are kept fully informed of what your daughter has entered.

Who are the organisers of Miss Teen Great Britain?

The director & founder of Miss Teen Great Britain is Holly Pirrie, of Pageant Girl® Ltd.

Holly has been organising pageants in the UK since 2008 and so, has a wealth of experience behind her. The Pageant Girl® team are the organisers for some of the leading, national pageants in the United Kingdom. We now crown 17 national, beauty queens annually, with them travelling internationally to represent their countries in pageants worldwide.

Holly was inspired by her own experiences in ‘pageant land,’ and wanted to give more girls, and women, the opportunities that she had been afforded through pageantry. The focus of Pageant Girl® is to encourage positive achievement in women and to create fun & confidence-building experiences.

Based in a glittering (literally, full of sparkle) office in Cheshire, the Pageant Girl® team co-ordinate the pageant finals for Miss Teen Great Britain, United Kingdom Galaxy Pageants, Miss International UK and the Pageant Girl Weekender; this crowns the UK winners for UK’s National Miss & Pageant Girl UK.

We are a friendly and relaxed organisation; many of our contestants have never competed in a pageant before but we ensure they feel completely comfortable at the grand final. Not all of the finalists can win the ultimate prize but our goal is to ensure that they all return home with great memories and new friends!

What age ranges are the competitions for?

We have three age divisions for the pageant:
Little Miss Teen Great Britain (age 10-12yrs)
Miss Junior Teen Great Britain (age 13-15 yrs)
Miss Teen Great Britain (age 16-19 yrs)

Does being in the competition take up a lot of time?

As a finalist, the only thing you must commit to is actually attending the grand finals in October. By being in the pageant, you do not have to dedicate all of your free time to the event – it is completely up to you how much you do!

When you become a grand finalist, you are sent an official Miss Teen GB handbook (which makes everyone super excited!) and of course, your official sash! In the handbook, it explains about what you can (optionally) do with your title and this includes fundraising & making appearances in your local community

Will being involved in the competition be a distraction from school and her studies?

Absolutely not. We stress to our contestants and winners that their education is of the utmost importance and everything comes secondary to this. Being in the pageant is like any hobby – dancing, drama, sport etc, it can be enjoyed alongside the girls’ studies but should never encroach on them.

What is the semi-final?

This is the stage before the grand final so you are not required to be anywhere as it is an online semi-final. Once you have confirmed your place in the semi-final we will send you further information about the next stages of judging. We will also send you information about how to make the most of being a semi-finalist!

What is Miss Teen Great Britain?

Miss Teen Great Britain is a nationwide pageant for girls aged 10-19 yrs, covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We have three age divisions for the pageant:

Miss Teen Great Britain (age 16-19 yrs)

The contests were created to be a positive and confidence-building experience for young girls and teenagers. We intend for the girls to make new friends and aim to make each and every contestant feel like a queen! Most importantly, we open the doors to fun and exciting opportunities for our winners.

The Miss Teen GB pageant is not a beauty contest (forget the stereotype!), they are about much more than a pretty face – with the interview portion counting for 50% of the total score.

Little Miss Teen Great Britain, Miss Junior Teen Great Britain and Miss Teen Great Britain offers teenagers the chance to participate in a competition that combines glamour and celebrating their success and achievements. It gives our finalists the character-building experience of a lifetime – and contestants will finish the competition with an abundance of newly gained confidence.

The grand finals are full of FUN! From the beauty queen challenge day, a pyjama diva party and the grand final itself! It is a weekend that will never be forgotten!

Do you need any pageant experience to be in Miss Teen Great Britain?

Absolutely no experience is required for Miss Teen Great Britain! Normally, over 90% of our contestants have never been in a competition like this before.

If you are completely new to the world of pageantry, Miss Teen Great Britain is a great place to start! We will show you everything that you need to know and we guarantee that you will not be the only one feeling a little nervous at first, however, this soon disappears once we start the team building activities!

My daughter has braces, is this ok for the competition?

This is absolutely fine for Miss Teen Great Britain – our competition is about celebrating teenagers and braces are a normal part of being a teenager. Some of our winners have won wearing braces, so this is definitely not a problem!

I have been selected for the semi-final, what happens next?

Firstly – Congratulations! Getting through to the semi-final is a huge achievement. The next step is to confirm your place in the competition; this is done by paying the audition fee of £46 including VAT!

Why is there a fee?

If you are successful in making it to the grand final, there is a sponsorship fee of £350 to be paid. We provide lots of detailed information about how to find a sponsor, to help ensure that the fee does not have to fall to yourself.

The fee basically covers your place in the competition. As you can imagine, organising an event like this incurs many costs – including the venue, staging, staff, prizes and more. It would not be possible to hold such an event without a fee like this in place – there are sponsorship fees which are over £600 and so, we have kept this as low as possible for you.
