Milli Jo Mcloughlin
Milli Jo is a successful content creator and one half of The McLoughlin Girls on TikTok! Milli Jo and her sister Megan’s videos often go viral and they have racked up an incredible two million TikTok followers! Thanks to Milli’s impressive following across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, Milli Jo has had the opportunity to work with some incredible brands, including; PLT, Beauty Works and Lounge. Milli Jo won the Miss Junior Teen Great Britain crown in 2017 and below, she reflects on how taking part in the competition impacted her life and helped her get to where she is now:
I competed in Miss Junior Teen GB when I was 15 years old and honestly it was the best thing I have ever done and is still one of my biggest accomplishments of all time. Winning the crown in October 2017 was not the only amazing thing I took home that night. I took home life long best friends (that I still talk to every single day), a massive boost in my confidence and most importantly self-love.
It took me 3 attempts to win a title. I worked so hard each year and never gave up. The first time I competed I was completely new to the scene, but I fell in love instantly. I kept coming back and finally took home the title.
I now work as a content creator on many platforms including TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. I have a following of 2.1 million beautiful people on TikTok, 50k amazing people on YouTube and 100k on my Instagram.
When people ask me how I am so confident in front of the camera I always tell them that it is because of pageantry. Miss Teen GB taught me how to act, how to talk and most importantly how to love myself in every way. It helped me discover who I truly am and has shaped me into this strong independent female.
To this day my sash and crown is still in my room and I talk about it all the time. It is something that will stay with me forever. I am so happy I discovered this system. The directors have stayed in contact with me and support me every single day. I consider them my pageant family!
