The gorgeous Imogen Chapman, won her dream title of Miss Teen Great Britain 2018 at the two day final in Blackpool in October! You can read Imogen’s interview below to get to know her a little better!

What made you want to enter the Miss Teen Great Britain competitions?

My first year of MTGB my mum entered me into the competition. I was so nervous but excited for the new experience. After my first year I fell in love with pageants straight away and couldn’t wait to enter again! I definitely caught the bug..

What did your family and friends say when you told them you had entered?

They were so pleased I had entered for my final year as a teen. They knew that this title was my dream, so they were really supportive about me entering again.

What did you do to prepare for the final?

As a finalist, I managed to raise over £1,600 for Together for Short Lives. I also raised over £900 for BOSH, a homeless charity I work with in Bristol. I made sure to promote my platform of Helping the Homeless in every aspect, and focused a lot of time on raising awareness of the issues and impacts of homelessness as well as becoming the best person I could be for the finals.

What was your favourite part of the grand final weekend? (besides winning the crown)

Surprisingly one of my favourite parts was my interview. I knew that this was a really important part of the competition, and I was excited to be able to tell the judges about all of the hard work I had put into my year as Miss Teen Bristol, as well as what I would do with the crown if I were fortunate enough to win.

How did your friends and family react when you won?

I think my mum screamed.. a lot haha! My family that were watching the competition were all over the moon, and I had lots of people supporting me, watching the live streams, who were all so excited for me!

Who is your role model?

My celebrity role model is 100% Princess Diana. Her elegance and openness with people from all walks of life is something I always aspire to. I am of the belief that no matter who you are, or where you come from, I am more than happy to help you with whatever you are in need of.

What would be your dream job?

My dream job is to become a support worker, and work mainly with the street homeless.  I enjoy working with the street homeless so much, and have done for the past two years so would love to make helping them into my career.

What is your favourite TV programme\film?

I hate to admit, but one of my favourites is definitely Keeping up with The Kardashians, and it has been since I was 14! I also am loving The Crown at the moment, as well as Luther.

Do you have any plans for your year as a Miss Teen Great Britain queen?

I have SO many plans!! Firstly, I am planning my charity ball again this year in April. I also have a few more events planned for 2019. I also am hoping to work closely with different schools to encourage self-confidence and promote anti bullying. And of course, I will still be raising awareness for the issues and impacts surrounding homelessness in our country.

When you aren’t busy being a beauty queen, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

My main hobby is going out on outreaches with the street homeless. I also really enjoy musical theatre and have performed in many shows over the years!

What advice would you give to girls who want to enter the Miss Teen Great Britain competition?

Definitely enter!! It is the experience of a life time, and has changed me forever as a person. Miss Teen Great Britain is all about being yourself, so enter with this in mind, and never change in any way!
